Bettina Clark – President and Co-Founder
For 17 years Bettina has worked tirelessly to build a company based on integrity, hard work and genuine support for her customers and suppliers. This Mom of three beautiful children and a terrific and supportive husband has developed an extraordinary following of individuals who believe in her passion for delivering these core values.
While Bettina prefers not to be in the forefront she clearly has a talent for team building and talent gathering in order to provide solutions to a dynamic and evolving industry. She has been active in the business since the early 80’s and in 1993 set out to build a company that provided true solutions, not just parts, to a world yearning for an honest and reputable supplier.
Bettina is extremely proactive and participative in today’s challenging world of quality electronic components and as such has volunteered much of her time and expertise educating companies around the globe on supply chain management practices, particularly with regard to Counterfeit Component Detection and Abatement techniques.
Bettina truly sets the tone for a “Family Friendly Company”. She embodies that which this industry sorely lacks – Commitment, Ethics and Honesty!!
Mark Fowler – Vice President
Mark brings 35+ years of electronic component distribution expertise to Alfa Electronics.
Prior to joining Alfa, Mark provided his services as Vice President of Sales in the Independent distribution channel and consultative services for SDB, MBE diversity program suppliers for various organizations.
He began his career in 1970’s with the precursor of Avnet Electronics in Connecticut. After transferring to Atlanta, Georgia in the mid 80’s Mr. Fowler held senior management positions with Future Electronics and with TTi as Regional Vice President.
Mr. Fowler holds various certifications in Purchasing, Material Control and Advanced Inventory Management, Total Quality Management Certificates from the Industrial School of Distribution through Texas A&M, and certifications from Michigan University for the Industrial School of Distribution training programs, and numerous industry-recognized achievement programs.
Mark has a passion for problem solving and enjoys interfacing directly with both the supplier and customer. He also enjoys golf when time permits!
Renato Beneforti – Vice President European Sales - Co-Founder
Truly a founding father, Renato along with his daughter and son in law, launched Alfa in 1993. An extremely successful entrepreneur in his own rite Renato has a uniquely qualified background for electronic component distribution. His success and accomplishments in the distribution world are only over shadowed by his quaint and highly successful Zagat rated Italian Restaurant located in the beautiful coastal town of Ft. Salonga, Long Island.
Renato’s truly one of those individuals you want to know. He is passionate about all that he does and thankful for all that he has and holds dear in his life, particularly his family.
Renato continues today to expand Alfa’s presence in the European market. His local knowledge and Italian heritage provides the necessary ingredients for Alfa to participate with European corporations both domestic and global in nature.
Al Clark – Director of Purchasing - Co-Founder
To simply say that Al manages our Procurement group would be a vast understatement relative to his actual activities and responsibilities. Along with Bettina and Renato, Al was directly involved with the companies beginnings and subsequent growth. His efforts in developing processes and procedures along with many years of supplier and customer interface specifically established the foundation and ultimate employee infrastructure for what Alfa is today.
Al is a joy to work with and probably one of the coolest Dad’s a kid could have. He is relentless in solving issues for customers and suppliers alike. One thing you’ll notice about Al is no problem or challenge is too small for him to fix. It’s that tenacity that you’ll come to truly appreciate. He is the cornerstone to the Alfa operation and a key reason for this company’s true success.
Rick Stengard – Director of Operations / Quality
Rick joined Alfa Electronics as the Director of Operations & Quality. In this role, Rick worked to re-engineer Alfa's core business processes, internal systems and quality management initiatives. He is currently responsible for strategic direction of operations and continues to drive process and system development which deliver a continually improving customer experience.
Rick brings a variety of industry best practices and functional thought leadership to Alfa. He has previously held operational management and business development positions in the Electronics Distribution, Workers Compensation / Health care and Technology Consulting industries.
Rick earned a bachelor's degree in Accounting (with a computer science minor) from Oglethorpe University in Atlanta, Ga. He is actively involved with several youth oriented community activities.
Van McCall - Territory Sales Manager
Alfa is pleased to announce the addition of Van McCall as Territory Sales Manager. Van has many successful years dedicated to the Rep and Distribution industry along with a tremendous following of great supplier and customers with whom he's worked over the years.
Van's expertise in the engineering and purchasing environment is well known. You'll find him a delight to work with.
